Track Of The Week: Scrounge – Crimson

Scrounge

Post-punk duo Scrounge have Live4ever’s Track Of The Week with their new single Crimson.

Released yesterday, it follows on from Etch, the debut single of last November. “Crimson is about the mythologies that one builds up around oneself, and what happens when those mythologies rub up against reality and their flaws are exposed,” Lucy and Luke say.

“We recorded it in an afternoon with our mate Mark in South Bermondsey, writing and rewriting the lyrics as we played, and worked hard to channel the disorientating feelings. Confusion and loss are at the heart of the enterprise.”

Scrounge are next out live supporting Unhappybirthday at The Waiting Room in London on February 13th. Coming later are appearances at Hare & Hounds in Brighton on February 21st, the Finsbury in London on March 8th and at Berlin’s Band On Fest on March 30th.
