The Futureheads are new for this year’s Neighbourhood Weekender event after organisers confirmed its second wave of acts today.

The returning Futureheads lead the announcement along with White Lies, while The Twang, Ten Tonnes, The Howl And The Hum, Glass Caves, Larkins, Vida, The Snuts, Inhaler, The K’s, Apre and Orla Gartland are new for Warrington Park between May 25th-26th too.

The Futureheads came out of hiatus officially last January all ready with new album and UK tour plans. “After our a cappella album Rant!, strapping the electric guitars back on seemed suddenly alien,” they said.

“A hiatus was needed: around 2000 days it seems. Over the past 12 months we’ve been chipping away at our 6th album. It is the culmination of every ounce of energy we have: a return, we hope, to bombastic, daring, creative righteousness.”

“We are almost finished. We are in love with this record. We believe in it. We can’t wait to see you again. The Futureheads are coming soon.”
