After restarting in 2014 and releasing the new album Everything Ever Written the following year, Idlewild have now got another new record ready to release.
Interview Music will be released on April 5th, with a UK tour also booked to start that month. Roody Woomble has said ‘a lot of the songs are about dreams and dreaming and the thoughts and ideas that come from this state’, fitting then that the lead track is Dream Variations. “I live in the Scottish Highlands,” he continues, “and between there and California you’ve got two locations that can put you in a dream like state.”
“Driving down Sunset Boulevard as the sun sets or driving over the remote Ardnamurchan peninsula as the sun rises. The world seems unreal, magical. You’re dreaming through a landscape.”
