The Who have announced a date with Wembley Stadium on July 6th.
Kaiser Chiefs and Eddie Vedder will provide the main support for the London show as Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend detail their first UK live gig of the year after discussing their plan to undertake a ‘symphonic’ tour of North America with local orchestras during a Rolling Stone interview earlier this month. “The Who are touring again in 2019,” Townshend has said today.
“Roger christened this tour Moving On! I love it. It is what both of us want to do. Move on, with new music, classic Who music, all performed in new and exciting ways. Taking risks, nothing to lose. Looking forward to seeing you all. Are you ready?”
“Be aware Who fans! Just because it’s The Who with an orchestra, in no way will it compromise the way Pete and I deliver our music,” Daltrey added. “This will be full throttle Who with horns and bells on.”
We’re playing Wembley Stadium on July 6th, 2019 and want to see you there!
