Ryan Adams is priming three albums for release this year.

Adams will start with Big Colors on April 19th, and is planning a follow-up entitled Wednesdays at some point after that with a third also apparently in the pipeline according to a post on social media. There’ll be guest appearances on Wednesdays from Emmylou Harris, Jason Isbell and Benmont Tench.

It all follows the 2017 record Prisoner, which made Live4vever’s end-of-year list that year; “The standout moment must go to album opener Do You Still Love Me?,” our review read.

“It’s highly charged and electrifying, almost uncomfortable so. Like being stood in the middle of a personal argument and not knowing what to say. Its fractious pounding rhythm paints a picture of real passion and loss. Throughout, Prisoner has a raw earthy, almost live feel, never feeling over-produced.”

“Track by track you fall deeper under its spell and with each listen it becomes more compelling, more fascinating and more beguiling.”
