Pete Doherty will play some UK acoustic shows at the end of this month.

Although the Libertines reunion has been going strong for a few years now, that hasn’t stopped Doherty continuing with solo ventures and the latest of these are due to start on January 27th at Hangar 34 in Liverpool. From there he’ll play Glasgow King Tuts (28th), the Old Fire Station in Carlisle (30th) and Newcastle Riverside on the 31st.

Another new studio album from The Libertines shouldn’t be too far away meanwhile after the band confirmed work had started early last year at their new Albion Rooms venue in Margate, a hotel and recording facility which the band, inspired by the insular studio practices of The Beatles and The Monkees, moved into in September 2017.

Any new LP will be their first since Anthems For Doomed Youth hit #3 in the UK in the autumn of 2015.
