Sleeper confirm The Modern Age, first album in 21 years

Sleeper

Sleeper have confirmed a new album for release next year, and they’re as surprised as anyone.

“We had no plan to get back together,” says singer Louise Wener. “Sometimes life throws you a massive curve ball. You end up jumping off the cliff, just to see what it feels like.”

As a result, The Modern Age will be the band’s first album in 21 years when it’s released on March 22nd next year. It was recorded during the summer when they resumed their working relationship with producer Stephen Street, while first single Look At You Now is due on December 5th.

A tour of the UK is also planned for March 2019, opening in Glasgow just before the LP is on the shelves.
