Drenge have unveiled Bonfire Of The City Boys, the first single taken from their new album Strange Creatures which was announced last week.
Eoin and Rory Loveless will release their follow-up to 2015’s Undertow in February 2019, and have said it’s the result of ‘months of chiselling away, ripping themes and ideas apart, sewing them back together, stepping away and coming back with fresh ears’:
”Sometimes, a song appears fully formed and ready to go, and sometimes, a song just needs time to ferment. Fine tuning small details, nipping between songs, picking out small things and accentuating them until they take over or become something else entirely.”
They’re due to begun a UK tour at the Glasgow Garage on March 27th 2019, with the final date booked for April 6th and the Birmingham Institute.
