Super Furry Animals

Thanks to live performances and the video for their 2003 single Golden Retriever, Yeti costumes latterly became synonymous with Super Furry Animals, and they’re now a part of the super-limited version of the band’s forthcoming …At the BBC album.

Clippings of fur have been woven into the vinyl records by Gotta Groove in Cleveland, Ohio, giving the 100 lucky fans who’ll get hold of this edition a piece of genuinely unique musical memorabilia.

Rat Boy has teamed up with punk vet Tim Armstrong for his new album Internationally Unknown.

Jordan Cardy’s collaboration with Armstrong on the follow-up to Scum was borne out of his love for The Transplants, and was solidified at Shiprec Studios in Los Angeles where members of The Interrupters also joined in with recording sessions.

Still one of the standout records of 2018, Hookworms will put a fresh spin on Microshift through the medium of a remix EP set for release on November 23rd.

The Microshift Remixes EP will be limited to 500 physical copies and contain reworkings of Negative Space, Ullswater, Shortcomings and Each Time We Pass from Nik Colk Void, Luke Abbott, Free Love and XAM (Hookworms’ own MB).

Radiohead have again been nominated for induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

Rage Against The Machine, Janet Jackson, Roxy Music, Stevie Nicks, The Cure, Def Leppard, Todd Rundgren, Rufus and Chaka Khan, LL Cool J, The Zombies, Devo, John Prine, MC5 and Kraftwerk are also potentially in the class of 2019.

The band confirmed the news whilst detailing some UK gigs for November which will take place at the London Scala and Manchester Gorilla. The new album will be Band Of Skulls’ first since 2016’s By Default.
