Noel Gallagher, Jay-Z and Chris Martin are some of the artists reported to have contributed to a book which will celebrate 50 years of Glastonbury Festival.

The trio have all played their own part in the history of Glastonbury; no-one’s headlined the festival more times than Coldplay, Noel Gallagher enjoyed one of the swiftest jumps with Oasis when the band went from a day-time slot on the NME Stage to headlining the Pyramid Stage in one year, while Jay-Z played one the most talked about, and best, headline gigs in 2008. “This book has been 50 years in the making,” Michael Eavis has told Somerset Live.

”There really are so many images and memories that tell the incredible story of the festival’s five decades here at Worthy Farm, and we’re honoured that so many brilliant people have helped us to collect the most iconic ones together for this book.”

More contributions are set to come from the likes of Billy Bragg, Dolly Parton, Guy Garvey and John Cooper Clarke when the book comes out next year, after Glastonbury has made its return in June 2019.
