She Drew The Gun returned last month with Resister, the first single taken from their new album Revolution Of Mind. It’s now got an official video which you can check out on Live4ever below.
The theme of ’empowerment; resisting; arming yourself with knowledge; questioning the status quo, questioning your own state of mind and how its affected by the systems we live in’ runs through the band’s second album according to Louisa Roach, who added that she ‘craves music that says something, music that goes beyond simple love songs’.
“I believe in questioning the rules and asking who they’re there to serve in the first place. I think some of that is down to being queer, and not conforming to rules around gender.”
Revolution Of Mind is out on October 5th and was produced by James Skelly of The Coral – a group they’ll resume cordialities with during a UK tour next month.
