The hip-hop remixed version of Relaxer from Alt-J and The Joy Formidable‘s brand new record AAARTH have both been released today on New Music Friday. Check them out on Live4ever via Spotify.

“It’s no secret that we love and are influenced by hip-hop, and it’s always been a dream of ours to work with hip-hop artists in reimagining our music,” Alt-J have said of Reduxer, which features fresh slants on the band’s 2017 LP from the likes of Twin Shadow, Pusha-T, Danny Brown and Rejjie Snow.

“With ‘Reduxer’ that dream has come true. We couldn’t be happier with the results. This album is truly global, featuring rappers and producers from all over the world. After a very long time in the making, we are stoked to share it with you all.”

The Joy Formidable have said they ‘threw themselves into this beautiful vivacious collage of experimentation’ on their fourth studio album, the first since 2016’s Hitch. “Real meets unreal, and stopped giving a f**k about things that didn’t matter, and started caring more about the things that are worth your time.”
