Organisers of Kendal Calling will host their first New Year’s Eve party to see in 2019, and have invited Everything Everything and Tom Grennan along to lead the festivities.

A ‘very special guest’ has also been invited to the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, as have Felix Hagan & The Family, Tim Peaks DJs and the Howling Rhythm DJs.

Everything Everything will be waving goodbye to a year which has seen them concentrate on touring their 2017 album A Fever Dream, when they also found time to release an EP entitled A Deeper Sea.

“To mark the beginning of our biggest ever UK & Ireland tour in March, we simply wanted to release some new music,” Jonathan Higgs explained. “After reading some shocking statistics on male suicide we felt inspired to write a new song dealing with male identity and depression; The Mariana.”

“We also really wanted to release a song called Breadwinner, which we recorded with James Ford a year ago, but couldn’t find room for on A Fever Dream.”
