Bloc Party have announced plans to document their impeding Silent Alarm tour with a live album release next year.

The band are preparing to perform their 2005 debut album in full on a run of European shows during October, which they will warm-up for with a just-confirmed gig at the Brudenell in Leeds on October 13th.

When Live4ever last caught Bloc Party live, we fittingly found that ‘the real showstoppers are Silent Alarm’s powerhouses‘:

“This Modern Love is not an obvious choice, but like an old friend you’ve not seen in a long time, everything settles back into place and you leave wondering why you’d left it so long to catch up. And there’s Helicopter, which even after all these years is completely unstoppable. This is why people watch Bloc Party, for their ability to marry absolute ferocity with real moments of beauty.”

Tour dates:

October
13 – Leeds, UK, Brudenell Community Room
15 – Amsterdam, Netherlands, AFAS Live
16 – Paris, France, Le Zenith
18 – Berlin, Germany, Columbiahalle
20 – Brussels, Belgium, Forest National
22 – Dublin, Ireland, 3Arena
24 – London, UK, Alexandra Palace
