BC Camplight schedules London gig for April 2019

BC Camplight will return to London in April 2019 after the completion of an earlier UK and Ireland tour which starts next month.

Returning to the UK and how increasingly fraught with problems that’s becoming is one of the chief inspirations for Brian Christinzio’s recent album Deportation Blues; “The demons were back and had lost me friends, I’d drunk too much, and I felt nothing but dread and disease,” he’s said. “I thought, I can’t wait to hear what this next album is going to sound like.”

“The thoughts and sounds that began to flow out of me were pretty scary. I’m pretty sure the engineer started carrying a shiv in his pocket after about the second day. Nothing playful sounding came out. If the last album had elements of whimsy, the thought of any on this album made me want to vomit.”

The new London gig will take place at the Scala on April 11th.
