The Coral have gone straight in at number one on the UK Vinyl Singles Chart with Sweet Release.

Taken from the band’s recent album Move Through The Dawn, it sits as the highest new entry just in front of Stone Foundation’s Standing At The Top, with the reissue of Yellow Submarine from The Beatles still proving popular at #3.

Reflecting the surge in popularity of the traditional format, dedicated vinyl album and singles charts were launched by the Official Charts Company in 2016 with the singles chart compiled from sales of 7″ and 12″ records.
