Paul McCartney‘s Egypt Station album will be released on September 7th, his first solo effort since 2013’s New. In preparation, its latest single Fuh You is streaming online.

“I liked the words ‘Egypt Station’,” Macca’s said of the album. “It reminded me of the ‘album’ albums we used to make. Egypt Station starts off at the station on the first song and then each song is like a different station. So it gives us some idea to base all the songs around that. I think of it as a dream location that the music emanates from.”

McCartney is due back in the UK to tour the album in December, the three concerts including a hometown visit to the Liverpool Echo Arena. “There’s nothing like performing in front of your home crowd, especially when it’s been a while,” he reflected.

“I can’t wait to finish the year on such a high by partying in Liverpool, Glasgow and London. We’ve freshened up the show since our last time round and we are excited to get to play some of our new songs alongside some of the favourites.”
