Muse have been as good as their word and have confirmed the new album Simulation Theory for release on November 9th.

The announcement concludes a year of occasional single releases, with Something Human and Thought Contagion both set for inclusion on the LP. Matt Bellamy has been giving his thoughts on those tracks as they’ve been shared, of the latter he said:

“The meaning of the song ‘Thought Contagion’ is about how other people’s thoughts, ideas and beliefs can sometimes infect your mind, get into your head and change the way you think yourself.”

While Something Human, produced by the band with Rich Costey, was welcomed with these words: “Life on the road can bring out your inner beast, this song and video is about taming that beast, desiring a return to something human.”

Simulation Theory will be available on standard, deluxe and super deluxe formats, the expanded edition featuring an acoustic gospel version of Dig Down, a collaboration with the UCLA Bruin Marching Band on Pressure, a live take of Thought Contagion and acoustic versions of several tracks.

The Dark Side has joined those earlier discussed singles in being made available now upon pre-orders of the album.
