Franz Ferdinand, Mogwai, Neon Waltz and Young Fathers are on a cracking longlist for the 2018 Scottish Album Of The Year Award.

A week on from the Mercury Prize announcement, when all of the aforementioned acts missed out, Franz Ferdinand will be hoping for a place among the final ten before the ceremony at Paisley Town Hall on September 6th, while Young Fathers should be a strong favourite for the £20,000 prize thanks to Cocoa Sugar.
