Big Thief‘s Adrianne Lenker will release her second solo album on October 5th.

Abysskiss is the follow-up to 2014’s Hours Were The Birds, and is being previewed with the first single Cradle. It’s announced after Big Thief put out the experimental Wide Winged Bird EP, limited to 200 physical copies made available at the band’s National support shows, earlier this year. “I want to archive the songs in their original forms every few years,” she explains.

“My first solo record I made was Hours Were the Birds. I had just turned 21 and moved to New York City where I was sleeping in a warehouse, working in a restaurant and photographing pigeons. Now five years later, another skin is being shed.”

Live4ever was at Big Thief”s show in Manchester last year, finding a band ready to ‘share an experience with like-minded, passionate people‘.
