Wolf Alice, Idles announce Q Awards show in London

Wolf Alice will be supported by Idles at a special Q Awards show in London later this year.

The two bands are headed for the Roundhouse venue on October 17th as part of the events surrounding the 2018 Q Awards, whose shortlist is to be revealed soon. “We’ll approach it with lots of energy and a sense of fun,” says Wolf Alice singer Ellie Rowsell. “Camden is where we rehearse, it’s where we do our meetings, it’s where we drink, it’s where our friends drink.”

Idles frontman Joe Talbot, meanwhile, has explained in his own inimitable way how he’ll be using their growing experience of winning crowds over at the gig. “People see us supporting and think, ‘Who the f**k are these fat guys shouting at us?’.”

“But I talk them through the songs a bit more so that they get our vibe and it works. We treat every venue the same, we go in and give it everything. Expect nothing and you’ll get everything.”
