Jack Tatum will follow his 2016 Wild Nothing album Life Of Pause with Indigo on August 31st.
Recorded at Sunset Sound with producer Jorge Elbrecht, its latest preview is entitled Partners In Motion and features saxophonist Taylor Plenn. “I wanted it to sound like a classic studio record, as close as I could get it there,” he’s said of the album.
“It just boils down to me wanting to fit into some larger narrative, musically, in terms of these artists I love. I think about how my music will age. Ideas of ‘timeless’ are going to be different—so if Indigo is not timeless then it’s at least ‘out of time.’”
Live4ever named Life Of Pause as one of our albums of 2016 after praising it as, ‘yet another outstanding document in craftsmanship and expression from an act whose journey has been mesmerizing to follow’.
