Alt-J will head out on tour around the UK and Ireland in October after releasing a new, hip-hop orientated version of their most recent studio album Relaxer.
“It’s no secret that we love and are influenced by hip-hop, and it’s always been a dream of ours to work with hip-hop artists in reimagining our music,” Alt-J said of Reduxer, which will feature remixes from the likes of Twin Shadow, Pusha-T, Danny Brown and Rejjie Snow when it is released on September 28th.
“With ‘Reduxer’ that dream has come true. We couldn’t be happier with the results. This album is truly global, featuring rappers and producers from all over the world. After a very long time in the making, we are stoked to share it with you all.”
The tour opens in Dublin on October 15th. There’s a little break afterwards before the UK leg kicks off in Glasgow.
