Johnny Marr is currently dominating the vinyl market in the UK.

Adding to his new solo album Call The Comet’s debut at the top of the Record Store Chart, its single Hi Hello has landed at number one on the Vinyl Singles chart, immediately leading two more new entries from Protomartyr and Tim Burgess.

Reflecting the surge in popularity of the traditional format, dedicated vinyl album and singles charts were launched by the Official Charts Company in 2016 with the singles chart compiled from sales of 7″ and 12″ records.
