The start of Arctic Monkeys‘ 2018 touring took on extra significance last month when it was revealed there are no singles planned for release before the band’s new album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino comes out on May 11th.
The first of two shows at Observatory North Park in San Diego last night then gave fans the first opportunity to sample new material, and four cuts were handed live debuts in all – One Point Perspective, American Sport, Four Out Of Five and She Looks Like Fun – along side well established favourites.
Arctic Monkeys move on to LA and New York before European shows begin on May 22nd. UK fans are due to get in on the live return at TRNSMT on July 1st.
