Suede have arranged some European gigs after setting their next album The Blue Hour for release on September 21st.

The latest album since the band’s 2010 reunion will be pushed with shows in Amsterdam, Milan and Copenhagen, while the closing night is at London’s Eventim Apollo.

A statement from the band compared the album to, ‘the time of day when the light is fading and night is closing in’, and continued:

“The songs hint at a narrative but never quite reveal it and never quite explain. But as with any Suede album, it’s always about the songwriting. The band, the passion and the noise: ‘The Blue Hour’.”

Frontman Brett Anderson also told NME.com it’s a result of their belief that, ‘Suede should be unpleasant, that’s the point of a band like Suede’.

Tour dates:

October
1 – Paradiso, Amsterdam, Netherlands
4 – Fabrique, Milano, Italy
9,10 – The Koncerthuset, Copenhagen, Denmark
12 – Eventim Apollo, London, UK
