With Alex Turner all set for a return to the Arctic Monkeys, Miles Kane has unveiled his own post-Last Shadow Puppets plans.

The pair reunited in 2016 for a second studio album entitled Everything You’ve Come To Expect, but Kane is back on the solo trail now and will embark on a UK headline tour in May and June to go with various previously announced festival appearances.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have arranged July UK gigs in London and Glasgow after the release of their Wrong Creatures album earlier this year.

The band will play London’s O2 Forum on July 26th and then move north to the Glasgow O2 Academy on the 30th.

Chvrches have posted the track Never Say Die online with their new album Love Is Dead due on May 25th.

“‘Never Say Die’ is one of my favorite songs on the record because it really leans into the juxtaposition of what we do — the mixture between the dark and the light,” Lauren Mayberry says. “It’s melodic and direct but uses some of the gnarliest sounds we’ve ever tried.”

The Bay Rays are back with a new EP entitled Darkness And Doubt.

Ahead of its release on August 24th, the lead single Begin Again has been shared; a track ‘about reflection and new beginnings, shedding away from old to new, from love to life to friendships’ according to frontman Harry Nicoll.

The full supporting bill for Liam Gallagher‘s appearance at Finsbury Park in London has been revealed today.

The main event before Gallagher takes to the stage on June 29th will be provided by Wolf Alice, with DMA’s, The Sherlocks, Dream Wife, Twisted Wheel, Easy Life, Belako, Trampolene and Hey Charlie also invited along to his first performance at Finsbury Park since the three-night run undertaken by Oasis there in 2002.

Seven Kinks studio albums have been remastered and were re-released digitally on March 30th.

The LPs reach from the 1964 debut to 1970’s Lola Versus Powerman And The Moneygoround, Part 1, and finally Percy of 1971. Ray Davies has said the remastering process ‘brings out the original sound brilliantly’.

Slaves have been revealed as the headliners of a new music conference and concert festival in Hull.

Laurie and Isaac will perform at Zebedee’s Yard on June 9th for the 53 Degrees North event, with The Horrors, Life and Dream Wife also on a cracking looking bill.

A brand new track entitled Hollywood has received its live debut in Santiago, while Damon Albarn told the crowd that an album is going to be out ‘very soon’.

Musicians have lent their support to a new campaign by the charity CALM which is urging the government to address the high suicide rates among men in the UK.

84 men commit suicide in the UK every week, something CALM’s Project 84 is aiming to raise awareness of. Frank Turner, Professor Green and Sam Smith are some of those who have used their social media reach to spread the word.
