The release of their debut album Swansea To Hornsey last year hasn’t slowed down the prolific output from Trampolene.

The band returned to Konk Studios in January to record Hard Times For Dreamers, a track which Jack Jones says evokes memories from his childhood. ”I remember catching the 3A or 2B bus into town every Saturday to doss around with my friends,” he states. “We’d maybe bunk into the cinema or push each other off the high diving board at the swimming pool, anything to beat the boredom.”

“The buses back home were about as regular as Halley’s comet so I had plenty of time to ponder the universe. There was a really lovely, but mad, old lady selling The Evening Post and she used to shout ‘Soooo Soooo Get Your Evening Post’ and it stuck in my head. The origin of ‘Hard Times For Dreamers’ comes from that time. It’s a kind of love song in some ways as well…not sure who to, mind…maybe to our way of life…fans…or my wife, who I haven’t met yet.”

It’s due out through Mi7 Records on April 27th, when a UK tour that month will be drawing to a close.
