Noel Gallagher, The National and Fleet Foxes are some of the acts who’ll be releasing exclusive music for this year’s Record Store Day.

Gallagher has announced a special 12″ vinyl version of his recent It’s A Beautiful World single, featuring two remixes by Andrew Weatherall and ‘Hacienda’ reworks by Mike Pickering and Graeme Park. ““I love Record Store Day,” he says.

“It gives us, the artists, a chance to put music out there that otherwise might never see the light of day. I love the fact that the items are very limited edition and I do utter the phrase ‘I’’ll save that for Record Store Day’ a LOT. Here’s a question though –since when do we have ‘’stores’ in the UK?””

The National, meanwhile, will be putting out a live version of Boxer on April 21st, recorded in Brussels last year, and Fleet Foxes have arranged a 7” version of Crack-Up, performed with Icelandic choir Graduale Nobli at Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik.

As has become tradition, there’s countless more special releases coming up next month from the likes of U2, The Rolling Stones, Ride, Bruce Springsteen and Pink Floyd.
