Augustines frontman William McCarthy will play UK and Ireland dates from the end of next month after the release of his debut solo album Shelter.

Starting on April 26th in Dublin, McCarthy is set to visit Belfast, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Birmingham, London and Brighton up to May 9th.

Upon the release of Shelter, McCarthy reflected on the life experiences which had inspired his record; “The truth is it ain’t easy to rise,” he concluded. “It happens from a place deep within and it takes time. And amidst a year fraught with setbacks and heartbreak, there is sun making its way towards us even if it feels far away.”

“It is an honor to know all of you and have your support, and after demoing and recording it more than 5 times over the last 7 years, the opening track is the song I’m the most proud of because we and I never gave up. The irony makes me smile.”

“This is my record Shelter from me to you and I encourage you to share it, make it active and show this odd and sometimes cruel world that we don’t break.”
