Bill Ryder-Jones will be visiting some often over-looked venues when he embarks on a short tour of the UK in September.

The former Coral guitarist, whose last solo album West Kirby County Primary was one of Live4ever’s top picks of 2015, is to play shows in Bath, London, Leeds, Glasgow and Manchester this September.

We last caught Ryder-Jones live at the Belgrave Music Hall in Leeds, sampling an ‘actions-speak-louder-than-words aesthetic’ which eventually found ‘the perfect cypher with the night’s last song, the strobing Two To Birkenhead’:

“As if any destination could prompt the genius couplet, “they say that desperate times call for desperate pleasures”, the whether and why are quickly forgotten as the song itself builds to an overloaded, out of control finish which proves that like all great things, a boss sentiment can be bent and twisted but it still won’t break.”

Tour dates:

20 – QEH, Southbank, London
21 – Howard Assembly Room, Leeds
