Wild Beasts live in New York (Paul Bachmann for Live4ever)

Wild Beasts have shared a new version of their indie classic All The King’s Men taken from the live album Last Night All My Dreams Came True, whose release on February 16th will be one of their final acts as a band.

Since making their decision to call it a day public last September a farewell UK tour has been scheduled, an EP entitled Punk Drunk And Trembling has been released and this career-spanning LP, recorded at RAK Studios, has been detailed. It will concentrate primarily on their final studio album Boy King but touches on various parts of the band’s back catalogue, of which All The King’s Men is one of its definite high points.

“Wild Beasts are coming to an end,” they said of their split on social media.

“Our hearts and minds have been devoted to the band since we were teenagers. We’ve created something quite of our own and built a body of work which we stand by as heartfelt and true.”

“The four of us have decided, for our own reasons and in our own ways, that it is now time to leave this orbit. We’re caretakers to something precious and don’t want to have it diminish as we move forward in our lives.”
