The Libertines are getting started on their fourth album with work on their new hotel/studio facility in Margate, England now close to completion.

Inspired by the insular studio habits of The Beatles and The Monkees, The Libertines’ dream of having their own personal recording space took a big stride forward in September 2017 when they were handed the keys to the venue in Margate, and they are now aiming to release the follow-up to Anthems For Doomed Youth this summer.

The news has coincided with the relaunch of their official website which will soon be providing exclusive updates on the recording process.

After a brief live return in 2010, The Libertines finally achieved some stability upon their 2014 reunion and after various successful tours released the long awaited successor to their 2003 self-titled album a year later.

They’ve got live dates in Australia and New Zealand coming up in February and March, and will headline the UK’s Victorious Festival at the end of August.
