Jack White has unleashed the first single from his upcoming solo album Boarding House Reach.
White took a complete break in the wake of Lazaretto’s release back in 2014, but is preparing a live return at Governors Ball and Boston Calling, and is now back with some concrete details about his third solo effort.
Drummer Louis Cato, bass player Charlotte Kemp Muhl, keyboardist Neal Evans, percussionist Bobby Allende and backing vocalists Ann and Regina McCrary were all guests in the studio during its recording, and the lead track Connected By Love has been given an official video (which isn’t available everywhere as yet) directed by Pasqual Gutierrez, and is being accompanied by another album cut entitled Respect Commander.
It should come as no surprise that a special vinyl release has been lined up by Third Man for the single; it will be available from stores in Nashville and Detroit this coming Saturday for that day only.
The only thing we await now is a release date for the album…
