Editors announce new album Violence

The next Editors record will be released on March 9th.

Violence is the band’s sixth studio effort and is being led off by Magazine, a track which frontman Tom Smith has said takes aim at those currently walking the corridors of power:

“Magazine is a pointed finger aimed at those in power…some corrupt politician or businessman…a character, and a tongue in cheek poke at the empty posturing and playing to the masses of the power hungry.”

Editors will play shows in Birmingham, Manchester and London during the week leading up to the album’s release, and are then off to mainland Europe for a tour which continues through April. They return to the UK in May for a performance at Manchester’s Neighbourhood event, and have another UK appearance booked for British Summer Time at Hyde Park in July.
