Denmark’s Roskilde Festival has released its first names for 2018.

The biggest of those are Gorillaz and David Byrne, while Stormzy, Fleet Foxes, Slaves and First Aid Kit are some of the others confirmed for the week-long event next spring.

”Both Gorillaz and David Byrne embody the spirit of Roskilde Festival’s music profile,” the festival’s head of programme Anders Wahrén reflects.

“They’re both exceptionally curious and open-minded, always on the lookout for new things to explore and incorporate in their music. We’re thrilled to have them as part of the same line-up combined with younger acts like Stormzy and First Aid Kit.”

Damon Albarn is staying busy then with Gorillaz into next year, and will be playing the Bilbao BBK event and a headline show at Malahide Castle in Dublin after releasing the band’s fifth studio album Humanz back in April.

It featured collaborations from special guests including Noel Gallagher and Jehnny Beth of Savages.
