A short documentary has been posted by BBC Introducing to mark the five years since Slaves released their mini-album Sugar Coated Bitter Truth.

Slaves returned to the Tunbridge Wells Forum, where their first collection was recorded, last month to remember the start of a rise which ultimately led to the 2015 Mercury-nominated full length debut Are You Satisfied?. “It’s been 5 years since we released our first body of music, Sugar Coated Bitter Truth,” Laurie Vincent said.

“Recorded in the Tunbridge Wells Forum in 2012, it kicked off our career and started us getting played on the radio, leading to our first ever festival slot at Reading and Leeds. To celebrate we return to the scene of the crime for a one off gig!”
