Liam Gallagher made his first solo appearance on US television last night, airing For What It’s Worth on The Late Show…With Stephen Colbert.
Gallagher had recorded the performance last month before jetting off to China. His next live outings remain in Asia – Japan and South Korea specifically – with a return to North America coming up in November.
By then his debut solo album As You Were will have been released; “I didn’t want to be reinventing anything or going off on a space jazz odyssey,” Gallagher has said of the LP.
“It’s the Lennon Cold Turkey’ vibe, The Stones, the classics. But done my way, now.”
