Remember 2014 when The Who were supposed to be retiring?

It’s sometime ago now, but Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend are clearly still nowhere near ready to pack it all in just yet. Indeed, they’ve got a six-date residency in Las Vegas starting later this month as part of their current US stay, and they were on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show last night performing I Can See For Miles, one of their earliest classics.

The Who have more North and South American tour dates later this year, and Pete Townshend is back in the States this coming September for a few Classic Quadrophenia gigs with Billy Idol and Alfie Boe.

“I’m thrilled to be bringing Classic Quadrophenia stateside through the month of September,” he’s said of the shows.

“Melding the contrasting sounds of Quadrophenia with a symphony has been a really unique and powerful way to reach a wide audience of classical and pop music lovers alike. I couldn’t be more excited to see it continue in the U.S.”
