The War On Drugs share Strangest Thing from new album

Lead single Holding On suggests The War On Drugs will be picking up where they left off on 2014’s astounding Lost In The Dream when new album A Deeper Understanding is released on August 25th.

The next cut from the record, Strangest Thing, is making this assertion even stronger and can be heard below where it is streaming via YouTube.

Mixed by Alabama Shakes, Weezer and Julian Casablancas cohort Shawn Everett, A Deeper Understanding will also include this year’s Record Store Day single Thinking Of A Place, and has guest contributions on guitar from Hand Habits’ Meg Duffy.

In November, the band will visit the UK for two nights apiece in Glasgow and Manchester, and a show on the 14th at London’s Alexandra Palace.

A Deeper Understanding tracklist:

Up All Night
Pain
Holding On
Strangest Thing
Knocked Down
