Drake, Japandroids and The New Pornographers are some of the artists who’ve failed to make the cut for the shortlist of this year’s Polaris Music Prize.
The annual award, which this time is aiming to find the best Canadian album released between June 1st 2016-May 31st 2017, will be handed out during a ceremony at The Carlu in Toronto on September 18th.
Leonard Cohen is one of those who makes the shortlist, posthumously nominated for You Want It Darker, while Feist has another nomination, this year for Pleasure.
