LCD Soundsystem expand European touring

Irish gigs have been added to the LCD Soundsystem European tour which is booked for September.

James Murphy already has UK gigs in Manchester, Glasgow and London lined up after the release of new album American Dream at the start of the month, and will now also head across the Irish Sea for three nights at the Olympia in Dublin.

American Dream is the first LCD Soundsystem album since the band was restarted in 2015, and was completed back in May. “This is just a note to say that we’re done with the record,” Murphy said on Facebook at the time.

“Like, totally done with the music and mixing. Just some art stuff to finish, but it’s been mastered already and the lacquers are winging their way to the pressing plant (which is, I think, where they’ll make the mothers and stampers, etc).”

“I’ve been wrangling the fastest route between final mix and record release for the past few weeks so that there isn’t such a lag, and I think it’ll be soon.”
