The Yeah Yeah Yeahs will play their first headline show since 2013 for the 2017 Sound On Sound Festival.
The event takes place near Austin, Texas between November 10th-12th, and has persuaded the New York band out of hiatus and back on to the stage for their first live outing of any kind since they appeared in New York last year to celebrate the work of British photographer Mick Rock.
They lead Grizzly Bear, Iggy Pop, The Shins and Blood Orange on the bill.
Speaking of the YYY hiatus back in December 2014, Karen O explained to NME:
“We’re on a bit of hiatus at the moment, so nothing yet,” she said of their future plans. “We have to wait to get the urge, get that itch. The time needs to be right and we’re OK waiting for that, I think.”
