Glastonbury likes its surprises, but given the quick editing of a poster which was released last month the confirmation of Liam Gallagher on the 2017 bill isn’t quite as unexpected as organisers might’ve first hoped.

Gallagher has now joined the line-up after his name was included on and then removed from official artwork when the ‘full’ schedule was announced on May 30th, his old Oasis collaborator Johnny Depp and astronaut Mike Massimino also added today.

Liam plays the Saturday evening on the Other Stage from 5.45pm, less than 24 hours after his brother Noel is due at Worthy Farm to introduce the Supersonic documentary on the William’s Green stage.

Radiohead, Foo Fighters and Ed Sheeran headline Glastonbury 2017, while Bee Gee Barry Gibb is filling the increasingly popular Legends Slot on Sunday afternoon.
