The Maccabees will be practicing their waving technique when they warm-up for their farewell shows in Birmingham, Glasgow and Newcastle this coming June.

The three shows are now acting as a precursor to the main goodbyes which are due to take place across two nights at the Manchester Apollo and three at London’s Alexandra Palace up to and including July 1st.

Guitarist Felix White recently predicted these will be, appropriately, ‘the best Maccabees gigs ever’. “Those gigs are going to be the best Maccabees gigs ever,” he told NME. “It’s going to be a pretty special thing because it’s quite rare that everyone in the place knows how important that little moment is.

“I think they’re going to be valuable little things. I don’t think we need to do too much more than just be The Maccabees.”
