Oasis’ Supersonic wins Best Documentary at 2017 Empire Awards

The Oasis film Supersonic won Best Documentary at last night’s Empire Awards.

The ceremony took place in London where director Mat Whitecross accepted the prize for his documentary which focuses on the Manchester band’s swift rise from obscurity to record breaking concerts at Knebworth Park.

Among the other winners were the already-BAFTA honoured I, Daniel Blake, and Eddie Redmayne who picked up Best Actor for Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.
