The final studio album from Chuck Berry has been set for release on June 16th.
CHUCK is the result of various recording sessions which took place in studios around St. Louis with his longtime hometown backing group, and contains ten new recordings of which eight are original compositions.
There’s guest appearances from Gary Clark Jr., Tom Morello, Nathaniel Rateliff and Charles Berry III, while his son Charles Berry Jr. has said he will ‘treasure’ the time spent work on this LP after the star’s passing last week. “Working on my Dad’s record has been one of the best experiences of my life,” he said.
“I will forever treasure the musical conversations we had, and the time we spent together completing it.”
