The cover fits well with Adams’ latest LP given that the many qualities contained within Prisoner are tied together by a strong eighties-influenced bond, something which he was discussing last year ahead of the album’s release; “When I run, I listen to a Nano that I have,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “I put all the AC/DC records on from back to front, or I’ll listen to the best of stuff from the ’80s: Springsteen, or Hornsby, and I’ll listen to what is going on there.”
