U2 and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline Bonnaroo along with The Weeknd and Chance The Rapper next June.

Between June 8th-11th, the likes of The xx, Cage The Elephant, The Head and The Heart, Future Islands, Glass Animals, Portugal. The Man, Cold War Kids, Car Seat Headrest, Michael Kiwanuka and Royal Blood will also be performing in Manchester, Tennessee.

U2’s booking forms a part of the band’s upcoming 30th anniversary tour for their 1987 Joshua Tree album, which is due to take in arena and outdoors shows across North America and Europe this summer.

“It seems like we have come full circle from when The Joshua Tree songs were originally written, with global upheaval, extreme right wing politics and some fundamental human rights at risk,” The Edge has said.

“To celebrate the album – as these songs seem so relevant and prescient of these times too – we decided to do these shows, it feels right for now. We’re looking forward to it.”
