The Mystery Jets will help The Maccabees say goodbye during their farewell UK tour later this year.

The Mystery Jets are on board for two nights in Manchester and what has grown to be three nights at the Alexandra Palace in London, where the band’s final gig is to take place on July 1st. Unlikely to be in any sort of a sentimental mood will be the second confirmed support, Idles.

“After 14 years as a band we have decided to call it a day,” The Maccabees said in a letter to fans which announced their split. “The decision has obviously been an incredibly difficult one, given that The Maccabees has been such a huge part of our lives until now.”

“We are very proud to be able to go out on our own terms, at our creative peak and off the back of the best and biggest shows we have ever done.”

2017 tour dates:

JUNE
27, 28 – Manchester, O2 Apollo
29, 30 – London, Alexandra Palace

JULY
